  1. Faulty Realtek Network Adapter

I purchased this PC in April 2023, with a USB keyboard and a Realtek RTL8188FTV Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter. Initially, I had network connectivity issues which was because our router was faulty. But after we got a new router, the internet for everyone in the house worked fine except for me. I noticed that I would disconnect from the WIFI every 10 minutes, which was bearable at first but it has now become more frequent and happens every 5 minutes. This is frustrating as it prevents me from doing anything productive, such as gaming or work.A few days ago, I went to the Safely Re

I purchased this PC in April 2023, which came with a USB keyboard and a Realtek RTL8188FTV Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter. Initially, I had network connectivity issues which was because our router was faulty. But after we got a new router, the internet for everyone in the house worked fine except for me. This is really frustrating as it prevents me from doing anything productive, such as gaming or work.

A few days ago, I went to the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media section to check all my devices, but at that moment my internet went out and my Realtek Adapter showed a danger sign. I am really curious to know how to fix this issue, and would greatly appreciate any help. I will send a ss if it happens again.

    Faulty Realtek Network Adapter

    How to Dump Networking Parameters?

Had a customer with this problem, they had a brand new Dell Optiplex 3050, with Windows 10 1709, and Realtek Gbit Family of lan adapters (wired connection). After much troubleshooting (many suggestions listed in the course of this thread), it turned out the PC needed a bios update. Among the updates listed on the dell website for bios version 1.52 (I flashed it with the latest 1.92) was "Update RealtekLOM".

LOM is "lan on motherboard" and the Realtek has flashable firmware.

One step for others having this issue is to check their computer manufacturer's website for "Lom" firmware updates for the particular network adapter - whether integrated or an add-in.
