Windows 10: Favorites from Firefox to Favorites BAR in Edge

Discus and support Favorites from Firefox to Favorites BAR in Edge in Browsers and Email to solve the problem; I recently upgraded to Win 10 64 and have decided that I am going to use Edge as my default browser.     Favorites from Firefox to Favorites BAR in Edge


    I recently upgraded to Win 10 64 and have decided that I am going to use Edge as my default browser. I have followed the directions on 2 websites now that tell how to transfer favorites from Firefox to Edge and seem to have hit a little snag. I am trying to transfer my favorites but every time I complete the steps, it takes my favorites and puts them in my favorites bar. I have a whole list of pages on my favorites bar in Firefox that I want to use for my favorites bar on edge. Why is the program turning my favorites from Firefox into my favorites BAR on edge? How do I transfer my favorites from Firefox into favorites on Edge and my favorites BAR in Firefox into my favorites BAR in edge? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Edge favorites

    It is easy to setup your Favorites/bookmarks etc in Chrome or Firefox and then Import to Edge. You have to change the settings in Edge to Show the Favorites bar. You can delete favorites from Edge now by right clicking on them. That is an improvement but
    the biggest improvement is yet to come--using extensions. Meantime install the other browsers and use the one you like until Edge improves.

    Edge favorites and favorites bar gone

    I gave up on Edge. Back to Firefox it is.

    first Edge lost all my favorites. I managed to get my favorites bar back, but not my favorites. The only advice Microsoft offered was about importing favorites from another browser, but they were no help when it comes to recovering favorites lost by Edge.

    next Edge stopped working altogether. The page opens for a second, then closes. It is not functional. Again, only advice to be found is advice that does not solve the problem.

    Next Cortana stopped working on my husbands computer. then Edge lost his favorites too.

    Enough already. I'm done.
