Windows 10: Feature Update 1903 Settings and Update stuck

Hello

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3567 with a 64 bit OS running windows 10 version 1903.

Following the 1903 feature update my settings menu is buggy - crashes or does not display properly and the main problem is that it will not update. It is stuck on 7 day pause and won't update after that time either. It won't show advanced update option or update history and is past the 10 days or me to remove it. Not updated for a month now. The sound / video playback is also a bit buggy - stutters and gets stuck and buzzes every now and then since the update.


I tried running all 3 methods from this link:

1 - the trouble shooter says there is an 0x80080005 issue which it didn't offer to fix.

2 - I tried resetting the components and there is no wuauserv file and there is a system 2 error.

3 - I don't have third party firewall anti virus installed.

Can someone please advise me as to what I can do? NB my level of computer know how is basic.

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. The steps which you have undertaken to block updates won't work for any feature update. Feature updates need to be blocked temporarily by using different steps.

But, I will suggest that you should not try to stop 1903 feature update. Let it happen.

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:

• CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
• Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
• New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
• New S-spec and MM numbers
• New halide-free chip package

Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.

Feature update to Windows 10, feature 1903

Hello. I keep getting this message- Getting things ready- for the feature update to version 1903. It is stuck at 71 percent since yesterday.

The very first time I tried downloading the update, the error code was 0x80240034. Please help. Thank you.
