    Feature Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 Fails to Download. Error Code: 0x8000ffff


    For the past month I've been able to download and install the latest windows feature update for version 22H2. Each time, it provides me with the error code, 0x8000ffff. I've already tried restarting the windows update service. I've tried using the windows update troubleshooter, which also isn't working and is providing me with the same error code as the windows update. I've even tried running an sfc scan to no avail.

    Feature update to Windows 10 Education, version 1607, Error 0x8000ffff


    Feature update just became available today for us. Out of 4 laptops its failed on 4. W10 1507 education has been running for a few weeks. Updates to 1507 were working fine.
    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8000FFFF: Feature update to Windows 10 Education, version 1607, en-us.

    Fail to install: Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 and Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602

    Fail to install:

    1. Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 (0x8000ffff)
    2. Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.387.507.0) (0x80070643)
    Computer will BSoD when trying to use the internet and show error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

    After searching online on another device for troubleshooting strategies, I tried to use DISM command tool to repair Windows 10 image with no luck. I followed the steps in this article but got an error in the "install.wim" section - RestoreHealth returned a "The system cannot find the file specified" error at 52.2%

    I'm stuck trying to solve this on my own, so I hope someone here can assist. Please let me know what I should try next.

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.
