Windows 10: Feature update to Windows 10 - Error 0xc1900201

I've finally received windows 10 disk from them. They said they got it from eBay as the shop didn't have any
My pc is 64 bit but the disk sent is for windows 10 32bit. This is totally shambolic. How can i get the 64bit version?

 

Put the 32 bit on and all the updates work but got blue screen of death about my drivers. Do I need the 64bit version

Clean install, repair install?

In any event your computer will work more efficiently on 64 Bit.

Basically you download the tool, you execute the tool, you don't update this PC, you create a USB Thumb Drive (8GB).

Done.

You boot from key. Since it is possible you are having a size issue with one partition I would delete all partitions on drive, step 13 in tutorial. Please make sure you have now data on HDD.

The install should walk you through the process.

If you get to a decision point and you are unsure please post back and someone will guide you. Want to make this a one pass process.

I did a clean install using the disk but in the tutorial it says 4 options and 4th being primary where you should install Windows but I only got 3 options?

Everything else worked ok except for above plus there was no option to delete the partition?

 

Sorry, the tutorial says pick Custom install. Follow the panels.





I circled the delete option.

 

So if I delete the unallocated space as you've circled will delete the partition?

 

Basically so you start fresh you want to delete all the partitions and then allow Windows to recreate.

It should look like this when finished.

All I circled was the delete button. You click on partition, then delete. Then next partition etc...

Yes delete everything, then click on the the unallocated space and click next. Just like in step 13 of tutorial.

 

So If delete all 3 options on screen what do.i. click on to carry on installing if I've deleted everything?

Will this get rid of the partition the shop set up?

 

Yes it gets rid of all partitions.

Sorry Razz1. If you are comfortable doing this don't do it.

Once you've deleted everything according to the directions you click next. Windows will allocate.

As you said you bought this an they should warranty.

Sorry, as I understood it you want to re-install Windows.

You used the Windows Media creation tool to create a USB key.

Please confirm you
1) you want to re load Windows as a Clean Install
2) you have no personal data on Harddrive that you need.
