    Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 - Error 0x80004005


    My PC went to the version 1603 and it gave me some updates that successfully installed. After restart I got Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2. I tried to install it and after couple of minutes it starts getting the 0x80004005 error. The PC was basically freshly formatted restored to 1603 version. I tried troubleshooting errors were fixed in Windows Update troubleshooter, I tried restoring Windows Updates, running DISM and SFC commands, tried using Media Creator, Update Assistant and it still gave me the same 0x80004005 error.

    installation of Windows 20H2 has failed 0x80004005

    The installation of Windows 20H2 has failed (current version 1909). After downloading from Windows Update site and ran it, it produced an error code 0x80004005 and suggested to try again. But that also failed.
    The SetupDiagResults.log file shows the following error message
    Error: SetupDiag reports abrupt down-level failure.
    Last Operation: Finalize
    Error: 0x80004005 - 0x60016
    LogEntry: 2021-03-14 08:52:54, Error SP Operation failed: Update Boot Code. Error: 0x80004005[gle=0x000000b7]
    What does it mean and how can I succeed in installing the 20H2 version?
