Windows 10: feeder option keeps disappearing for Scanner

I was using the built in software "Windows Fax and Scan" and it just disappeared. So I downloaded the "Scan" app through MS-Store and its been working fine for a month.

Now the option to change the source from flatbed to feeder disappeared again. How can I retrieve the option again?

Choosing Feeder as an option to scan

I am trying to scan multiple pages to my computer using the feeder in the scanner.. When I click on the scan app it only gives me the option to scan on the glass (not in the feeder).. Does any body know how to make it an option to scan from the feeder
itself? When I click on show more options there is NO option for this.. please help!

Thank you for posting in Community, I understand your concern and we will try to assist you in the best way we can.

I would like you to know that if you're using a scanner with a document feeder and Windows Fax and Scan, you can scan multiple pages to a single file by scanning to the TIFF (.tif) file format.

But if you use Windows Fax and Scan and a flatbed scanner, you can likely scan multiple images to separate files. Not all flatbed scanners have this ability, so you might need to contact the scanner manufacturer to obtain a driver so that your flatbed scanner
can provide this option.

feeder vs platen

when using the scanner in some apps it will only pull from the platen and not the feeder, as I find no where in the app to change that, what can I do?
