  1. Fetching patch information from KB

Hello Members,I am exploring options to know if the Patches installed on Windows OS Server/Client editions would have any release information tagged to it?Example :My Windows 10 Client has KB5008212 installed. This is released on "December 14, 2021—KB5008212" at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/5008212I have a perfectly isolated network without internet / No SCCM/SCOM or any third party tools to work with.Locally on my laptop with the Installed Patch example KB5008212, would i be able to know that it's released on "December 14, 2021"?I tried exploring from powershell Get-WmiObject

    :)

KB patch missing from system after restart

    Hello everyone,

Recently, I install KB4022727 patch which I get from Microsoft Update Catalog . The installation goes smoothly and there's no error message. After I install, I did "wmic qfe" into command prompt, and able to see the
patch in the system. However, under "InstalledBy" & "InstallOn" column, it is blank which is odd. Previously, it will fill up the two columns with information after I install any KB patch. Please refer to the screenshot below.

I did a restart after installing the patch, and did "wmic qfe" once again. I'm no longer able to find KB4022727 & my system prompt me to install the KB patch again, which I did earlier on. I'm also unable to find the KB patch under "View Installed Updates".

    Troubleshooting steps I did:-

    - Install the KB patch, and uninstall it, and install it one more time & do a reboot

    - Did sfc /scannow

    - Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

None of the troubleshooting steps work. I tried to install the same patch onto my sibling laptop, and it did not vanish after a reboot. Also after I install the KB patch, there are information on the two columns, "InstalledBy" & "InstallOn".

    Thank you and please advice.

    Fetching patch information from KB

Cannot find individual KB numbers for patches inside Windows Cumulative Update

I have been trying to find a source for the individual patches contained in the new Windows Cumulative Updates, as I would like to be able to compare the KB numbers against the security bulletins. So far I cannot find the list of contained patches, only an overview.

Are they stored anywhere on the machine (I have checked the registry etc, but only find KBs for the Cumulative Update), if not, is there an online source for this data?
