    windows 10 deleted my desktop files

    Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

    Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

    copied all files again to desktop.

    Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

    Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

    • Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
    • Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
    • Click on Users, select your User name
    • Go to desktop folder
    Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

    Why are Roamed Theme Files limited to 20 pictures?

    Hi all--great place for answers, eh?

    I am wondering if the 20 background files 'limit' for "(User) \ RoamedThemeFiles\DesktopBackground" can be changed, lifted.

    On another PC I selected a folder with 43 files, but only (the first?) 20 are able to be synched across devices.

    Hmmm... I just looked in the "C:\Users\(User)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes" and found a few themes I had named when this was a Windows 8.1 PC and they also 'only' show 20 pictured in their "DesktopBackground" folder.

    I tried searching the Registry for a key that says 'limit (all) themes to only 20 (14h) files max', but was not successful. Anyone have the answer on how to increase the file limit for themes, local and roaming?
