    Hello!In some cases when I open a file dialog window in some programs the dialog close it immediately and the most of part of the times also it crashes the program. For example when I run "Save as image" in a web browser Chrome or Opera or when I try to save an image snipped with the Snipping tool.I followed the steps of this solution but It continues happening.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/file-dialog-window-makes-most-program-on-windows/ecf27eb6-b0bd-4e00-813d-e66c411240afIt does not happen all the time but is a big pain and block me to do many things.Thank you!

    File dialog window makes most program on Windows 11 freeze

    Very often when I try to open a file dialog window in any program om Windows 11, that program freeze. I then have to stop it running via Task Manager.

    This happens when I do a Save As in Photoshop, when I download a file in a web browser and open a file dialog to download it to a specific place, when I try to upload files via a file dialog window in a Browser and in many other cases.

    It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it a real nuisance and showstopper. How can this be fixed? Is it a known bug?

    Save / Open Dialog causes program to crash

    I have a pretty serious issue with my system. With just about any program I have, when I click "Open..." or "Save As..." to open the save/open dialog box, if I do anything to navigate to another folder (e.g. change the address in the address bar, click a
    subfolder in the current window, or click the "1 folder up" button), the dialog crashes, and then the program itself subsequently crashes. This is a serious issue because I can no longer save any work in any program.

    A couple of things I've already tried:

    • Restarting the computer
    • Rebuild file index
    • Run programs in compatibility mode
    • sfc /scannow
