Windows 10: File disappears right after downloading it ????

1, download a file using torrent program 2, double check location 3 download finishes 4 go to file location 5 right click copy 6 by the time I click on paste into another folder I get an error message. Something like the file you want to copy moved or no longer exist.

The file literally disappears after downloading it. It's no trick of the light, I've tested it multiple times, multiple folders, multiple flash drive (and main drive) devices.

Closing/keeping torrent open doesn't change anything.. restarting the PC doesn't change anything. Antivirus finds nothing.

The file IS THERE. When downloading finishes I can see it, I can click copy. It's gone as soon as I move to diff folder to paste.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FECK???? This shit always happens with windows. I am full of this feking shit. I had an update couple days ago. FECK YOU MICROSOFT

No1 reason why I NEVER update anything I can. But these updates are mandatory churned down your throat. And Microsoft even said in the past that windows 10 is their last is and they just gonna work on it from now

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

Download file Disappeared

I went to my download file to install a file and the file and all items in it have disappeared looked in the trash can nothing there. any suggestions.

This issue could be corrupted graphic/damaged drivers.

I would suggest you to un-install the graphic driver and re-install it from manufacturer website and check if it helps:

To un-install and re-install the graphic driver you can follow the below steps.

    Press Windows Key + R, type
    devmgmt.msc.
    
  • 
    Select the graphic driver.
    
  • 
    Click on properties, click on
    uninstall tab.
    
  • 
    Click OK.
    
  • 
    Right-click on the driver (Downloaded from the manufacturer’s website) file.
