Windows 10: File Download Error - Specifically With Music Files

Within the last two weeks I've noticed that music files have become almost impossible to download. They have also taken on random or generic file names during the downloading process, and I can no longer see the progress of these files. I'm specifically referring to music I'm downloading from Bandcamp, but I've tested other things like Amazon Music and iTunes, and achieved the same result. I haven't changed any settings, and I've also tested multiple browsers. I already had Edge and Chrome installed, but I discovered a brief fix when I installed Firefox and was able to download music files the

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

Error with downloaded file

I don't know but I downloaded a zip version from realtek's website
