Windows 10: File drag and drop in address bar broken?

Yup. I am reposting this because this exact thing just made me think I was going crazy... I noticed I am not the only sane person here who used this feature frequently. Seeing the Microsoft reps response, I felt the need to repost this because the only person who could do anything about it basically said they couldn't do anything about it. So here I am to annoy and repost because how else can we get our voices heard? The squeaky wheel gets the grease after all lolSo to whomever reads this. Please forward our concerns to someone who could pretend to think about it and then not do anything about

can't drag and drop files into address anymore with Windows 11

Why has Microsoft removed this very useful feature? Now, instead of just dragging files up to the address bar and dropping them in the folder I'd like, I've got to COPY, go to the folder, PASTE the files, and then go back to the folder where I was working. In the past, I could just drag and drop and move on. You've added multiple steps to something that used to take seconds. Does anyone know of a fix for this? It's driving me crazy.

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

Need to use drag and drop feature in address bar

I need the drag and drop feature in address bar. If you search your own website, you will learn many need this feature too and no one seems happy with this change. How is this change even remotely helpful for anyone? It kills productivity and makes folder management even harder. Re-instate drag and drop.
