Windows 10: File explored maximized bug ?

So i just build a brand new windows 11 pc. File explored wont stay maximized. It doesnt remember the size and location. I tried via shortcut properties, i tried having the window maximized instead of normal, tried the control+click, the shift + click on x method, even installed a custom explored that supposedly worked...nothing. I havent seen this bug before, but its driving me nuts. I want every folder i open to be maximized. These are the latest updates i install if it helps2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 24H2 for x64 KB50505772025

Autohotkey bug after disabling, left-clicking opens new file explorer window instead of maximizing/minimizing

I need this script for a 3D software I'm using. Unfortunately I'm getting a bug right after I disable it by pressing middle mouse button.

I made a 51 seconds recording to show you the bug.

@0:15 seconds I disabled the script, @0:34 I start left-clicking the file explorer, normally it will only maximize/minimize the window, but instead it start opening new file explorer window when I left-click it.

Is there a way to fix this other than completely rebooting?

I google "Autohotkey bug after disabling, left-clicking opens new window instead of maximizing/minimizing"
but didn't find good results for this specific issue.

tried but doesn't work:

• run as admin
  
• change Middle mouse button to other such as F10, letters, etc.
  

I'm using Windows 10 64-bit

 

File Explorer not remembering to open maximized folders!

Since I had to have Windows 11 reinstalled, File Explorer no longer remembers to load up maximized on my Desktop. On my laptop, this isn't a problem, and both systems are running Windows 11 Home 23H2. Normally when I open a File Explorer window, if I maximize a window and close it, then the next time I open File Explorer, it would load up maximized. While this is still the case for the laptop, on my desktop, it keeps loading up in a small window in the center of the screen.

Windows won't maximize

• Is this issue specific to any applications/programs?
• Were you able to see the maximize, minimize and close icons?
• Have you tried to perform these using different user account?

This issue might be due to corrupted/ missing system files.

I suggest you to run System File Checker and check if it helps:

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

  Right click on the Start button, click on

• 
  Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit

  After the scan, restart the computer.

  Now check for the issue.
