Windows 10: File Explorer auto-expansion

Is there a way to stop the navigation pane from auto expanding every time I open a new window in file explorer on Windows 11? Every time I open a new folder it expands all the folders and it's really annoying. I have already tried going into Options and making sure the *Expand in open folder* box in unchecked. Not sure what else to do.

How to prevent folder auto-expansion in File Explorer

When I copy or move files from one directory to another, if I hover for more than about a second on the destination directory, it expands all the sub-directories, which I find extremely irritating. It also means that files can get dropped into the wrong
directory. I know that this has been annoying people since Windows 7, but I can't find a fix anywhere. I do have folder auto-expansion unchecked in Explorer properties but still it happens. How can I turn it off forever, or at least set a very long delay
so that I get a few seconds (or minutes?) to position the mouse pointer before I let go. Thanks.

 

File Explorer - Auto Sort

I am sorry, but I cannot find any options for Auto Arrange in a folder. I see it for the Desk Top icons, but not in a File Explorer window.

I did not change any settings. The file list has always resorted itself immediately after renaming a file in Windows 7 and Windows 8. But it is not doing so in Windows 10.

If there is a setting for Auto Arrange in a File Explorer window, can you tell me where to find it?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
