Windows 10: File explorer continuing to lag and not respond after multiple fixes. Please help!

I'm currently using windows Home edition windows 11 23H2 and I keep running into issues with file explorer. I've done several things to correct it and it works for a bit and slowly the issue seems to keep happening. Eventually the images will not respond and it doesn't show the contents as thumbnails and then at other times it's like the system lags when I go to move files I've downloaded to my google drive. I've tried using the home version and I've even switched to this pc. I've cleared and restored defaults and I even ran the sfc scan recommended to fix the issue. I'm at the point of losing

File Explorer Scroll Lag

Hello, I just did this and still the lagging continues. I want to point out that the lag occurs only when I scroll with the mouse, when I click and scroll the lag does not occur.

Hello,

I can't open any files through Windows Explorer. I continue to get "not responding." I have tried multiple fixes including reinstalling where I had to uninstall all my apps. I reinstalled and Windows Explorer worked briefly but now I am receiving the error
again. I do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall windows every week!

For now, I suggest that you run the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1:

When explorer run slow, open Task Manager and check if there are any services or startup that might be has high memory or CPU usage.

Method 2:

Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's performance, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether multiple programs are running at the same time.

Follow the below steps:

  Press Windows + X on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Run maintenance task under
  System and Security.
