Windows 10: File explorer crash, kernelbase.dll, bex64

My file explorer sometimes crash-restart itself on my Alienware m16 R1 with windows 11, it crashes and then restarts itself, all this in a matter of seconds. First my PC freezes for 1-3 seconds, then file explorer restarts itself, but actually this was a crash. When file explorer restarts the PC blinks, and luckily, after file explorer crash-restart itself, everything is still open except for the file explorer, so I have to reopen all what was in the file explorer before the crash-restart, what is really annoying. Even after a repair reinstall of Windows it still keeps crashing, this is a new

It's almost inevitably associated with a 3rd party program hooked into file explorer.
Consider anything that modifies file explorer in any way (e.g. adds buttons, quick access to favourites, changes appearance of the GUI...) and any context menu entry.

You can start by disabling all non-MS context entries, starting with Shellexview (free), and then seeing if the same occurs.

You may find further such entries using the more technical Autoruns (free from MS) where the listing is divided into clear sections to help you find those.

Do not disable MS entries- these programs help you to hide those.

Windows Explorer crashes after copying files to Dropbox folder (BEX64)

I have found an intermittent bug with Dropbox 14.4.19: When I copy some files from my C: drive to a Dropbox folder, then the next time I access a folder on my C: drive, Windows Explorer crashes with that BEX64 thing.

At least, that's what the Event Viewer said, but it didn't give me any more information than that.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?
