    File Explorer crashes and freezes


    For some reason, I clicked on the gallery icon at the top under the home icon, and then it asked me for something that I don't know what it was, but it needed administrator access. After that, I can't open any files at all. The files on the desktop are opening, even the recently opened files from the office section are opening, but I can't open any file through File Explorer at all, and even all my E , C drives and..., and even flash drives are not opening, and Microsoft account and OneDrive are not opening. I can't even take a screenshot. My Windows is 11. Please, someone guide me, I really n

    File explorer crashes (not freeze but crash)

    When trying to use file explorer, it immediately crashes and restarts.

    Any app that tries to use explorer, the app will work up until the file explorer window appears.

    e.g. My browser will work, until I try to save a file, then it crashes (because it needs to ask me where to save the file).

    It does not "FREEZE" it crashes. There is no "not responding" alert.

    Effective Way to Solve the File Explorer Crashes Issue

    You can try the following steps:

    1. Tap down the Windows button first to activate the search bar.
    2. After that, in the search bar type control, and then click on the top-most search result, that is on Control Panel.
    3. Next, in the search bar type file.
    4. Now, from the search results click on File Explorer Options.
    5. Then, click on the Clean button.
    6. Lastly, click on Apply and then on OK.

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
