Windows 10: File Explorer Details Display Columns

Hello,None of the display fields show the user the last date:time a full folder path was last modified new files added or files changed. The standard File Explorer selection of Name, Date Modified, Type and Size does not do this, as Date Modified may relate to when the top Folder was originally created and subfolders maybe added or a new file added to an existing folder but it does not change at all.As in this example the Date Modified for CAR does not reflect that a subfolder was changed.I note there are Apps available for monitoring was is happening real time going forward, but I need ju

I have added the file count column to my folder in File Explorer. However, the actual file count is not displaying.

• How did you added file count column for folders in File Explorer? What are the steps did you followed?
• When you say, "actual file count is not displaying" is this issue specific to any folder or happening with all folders?
• Have you installed any third party anti-virus on your system?

Meanwhile, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps.

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on View from navigation pane and choose Detail pane.

File Explorer displays MP3 details, NOT File Details. How to switch ?




Here is a mp3 file with just Title (Concerto Gregoriano) and Composer in its metadata.
1. In file explorer, I created a new file on my desktop and copied the mp3 file to it.
As you can see, it is listed with date, size. The folder is a general format type, not music.
Please try that.

2. To the right, mp3tag, a free utility, shows the metadata in the file.
You might find it useful to get mp3tag.
3. Rt click, Properties, Details, shows the Title as part of the metadata. (Composer is off the screen).

I suggest you make sure your mp3's do indeed contain metadata.

(Sorry the Window titles are faint- they are background, but should be clearer)

 

Win10 File Explorer details view problem

Initially I suggest you try the following;

Inside the WIndows Explorer click on View and activate Preview Panel;

Check Detail and click Add columns;

Select the columns you want to display in the files;

Now the file information should be displayed again;
