Windows 10: File Explorer diffferent search behaviour button missing, auto complete on 2 W10 1909 Pc's

I've updated 2 Pc's to W10 1909 Build 18363.1016. On one Pc, once I start typing in the search box, a button with an error on a blue background appears and it won't start showing results until I press that button, or <Enter>. I actually like that behavior better than the many irrelevant results appearing when typing the first few characters.


However, on my other Pc that arrow button does not appear and it still auto completes search results on typing, like it did in 1903. See picture, I underlined in red how it looks on my other Pc picture shows a website with that button on Explorer and below the File Explorer on my other Pc without the button and with the unwanted auto complete search results.


I've compared multiple settings also e.g. those from Classic Explorer, present on both Pc's or Internet Settings in Configuration. They are the same.


What could explain this difference? Can this be solved?

File Explorer 1909

1. If you use File Explorer to Open a document whose application has an Auto-Save feature and you leave File Explorer minimized then when the Auto-Save runs File Explorer will be hung. At that point if you use Task Manager to Restart the system will hang
part way through.

2. The Search Tools are Not available when you click in the Search Box, you must enter your search and press Enter before the Search Tools are displayed. Then when you select Current Folder nothing happens, the Search Box is disabled but if you click on
the Blue Arrow and then on Current Folder again the Search Results will be updated.

File Explorer 1909 is Not Ready for use.

 

Search for Missing files in File Explorer

I understand that you are looking for a file named “Class” with the length of the file. However, currently File Explorer doesn’t have the option to search the files using the length.

You can follow the steps mentioned below to search for a file in File Explorer using the Size, Kind of file and other options.

1. Press and hold Windows key + E to open
   File Explorer.
   
2. Click on This PC on the left pane.
   
3. Press F3 key to open Search options.
   
4. You can select the Size,
   Kind of file and other options and then, search for the file.

1909 Update file explorer search issue.

New 1909 update broke the file explorer search. Now after file explorer window has been open 10+ minutes the search option is grayed out. Text does not show in the bar and the only way to be able to type again is to task kill file explorer from taskmgr.
I have tried to run the search and index troubleshooter but it says everything is working as intended. I have restarted the windows search service, and I have reset the windows search but this issue happens every day. Any suggestions?
