File explorer does not display folders which are NOT set to be hidden

My new Windows 11 system seems to have developed a strange behavior in File Explorer where subfolders are not displayed. These subfolders are not set to be hidden and File Explorer is set to display hidden items, as well. If I navigate to the top level folder such as J:\Top\ from the command prompt the DIR command also fails to show the afflicted subfolders. If I invoke DIR /S the result is to list all the ‘invisible’ subfolders and contents as well the ones shown. If I enter the address of one of the invisible subfolders, J:\Top\Sub for example, into the address bar of

    Hidden folders

I installed `Kane and Lynch` on my PC twice in Program Files(x86) folder but I can`t find them (2 folders with game). But free space on my HDD is lower. So there`re those folders on my hdd. I use option `unhide` hidden folders but still can`t find them. Any suggestions? How can i delete those hidden folders?

When I run istallation for this game I can see those folders in Program Files(x86) folde.

    I`m using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Anyone knows what these files are?

Those are Super Hidden Files which as the name implies files which are hidden from the user even more than normal hidden files.

Even if you enable the ability to view hidden files and folders in Explorer these super hidden files/folders will still not be displayed.

how to display entire tree in windows 10 file explorer folder pane WHEN THERE IS NO NUMBER KEYPAD

    Hi Ali,

The navigation pane in File Explorer may not be set to show all folders and libraries that's why it doesn't show the entire tree when you expand it. It also possible that some files, folder, and drives may also be hidden that's why you're unable to see it
when you expand a specific folder. To address this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Click View from the Main Menu.
    3. Click Options > Change folder and search options.
    4. Click the View tab, then under Advanced settings list, tick or check the following items:
      • Files and Folders > Hidden files and folders
        • Show hidden files, folders, or drives.
      • Navigation pane
        • Expand to open folder
        • Show all folders
        • Show libraries
    5. Click Apply, then OK.
    6. Close and relaunch the File Explorer and see if the entire folder pane tree will show when you expand it.

If you have additional questions, or if the issue persists after the performing the steps above, please let me know by replying to this thread. This way, I'll get notified and respond back to you as soon as I can.

    Regards.
