Windows 10: File explorer does not include all my hard drives under 'This PC'

Discus and support File explorer does not include all my hard drives under 'This PC' in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; File explorer only displays my C and D (DVD) drives when launched.     File explorer does not include all my hard drives under 'This PC'


    File explorer only displays my C and D (DVD) drives when launched. I have two other hard drives with two partitions each which do not get displayed under 'This PC'. I landed up 'pinning' the drive letters under 'Quick access'. I spent a lot of time hunting for a solution without any luck. For the time being, my discovery of pinning the drive letters under will have to do, however I would feel a lot better if I see the drives listed under 'This PC".

    External Hard drive is not dectected in file explorer.

    The drive IS visible under Disk management and there are no problems (it says it working fine). It does not appear in file explorer. It works fine on the mac sitting next to it, and this pc does happily regnise and show a different
    external hard drive in file explorer.

    i have also tried updating the device drivers, and it says this pc has the best drivers required.
