Windows 10: File explorer does not open and nor does task manager

Hi there,I have a brand new laptop and recently started to set it up properly. I have an Asus Vivobook oled 15. I can open most tabs which are on my desktop screen at the bottom apart from File Explorer. I also cannot seem to open task manager and have tried to do this in multiple ways. When I click on file explorer, the whole screen blinks for a few seconds and then goes back to normal but nothing is opened. There is one windows 11 update that I need to do but it keeps failing and reversing any changes. Not sure how to go about this. I have also tried to do a full reset but that failed and di

Task Manager and File Explorer won't open

The OS is WIndows 10.

Getting some issues trying to open the File Explorer. Other applications will open normally, but File Explorer won't open.

I attempted to open Task Manager, first via ctrl+alt+del, then via Run. Neither method would allow the Task Manager to actually open.

also I tried to open using Command Line and not open.

I would suggest you to open the task manager and disable the file explorer from there. Follow the below steps:

1. Open the Task Manager.

2. Go to startup tab.

3. See if Files Explorer is listed there. If yes, right click and
disable it.

Now check for the issue.

That's not Windows 10. Mine opens that stupid window at the startup, and checking the startup folder, there is NO item there saying Files Explorer. That was no help at all.
