    File explorer fails to open when trying to open from task bar, search bar, Windows+X and...


    I've tried registry editor fixes that were given to people with the same problem as me but none have worked.I get this error message from attempting to open through the task bar: I get this error message from Windows+XAnd this error message from Windows+EI get no error messages from the search bar.I can still open the file explorer through inconvenient ways like right clicking a short cut and going to the file location but it really slows me down.I have tried clean booting my PC and reinstalling Windows while saving files and apps but the problem still persists.

    Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

    Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?

    search does not work in task bar. DOES work in File Explorer

    HI

    Search does not work in task bar. Does work in File Explorer.

    Tried another user account on machine....it fails as well in the exact same way.

    Any suggestions?
