Windows 10: file explorer --- file folder order

What option do I have to set so that when I list the files / folders in documents that the filesare firstt, on top of the subfolders, and I then the files are listed in descending order

Changing listing order of files and folders in File Explorer

When you log into an account for the first time there is a chance to decline OneDrive "protection" for your user folders, but it's easy to miss (this is by design, no doubt). It's this automatic "backup" that hijacks folder locations. Sothe first thing to do is check OneDrive settings & make sure backup is disabled for your user folders. This is done via Manage Backup on the Backup tab of the OneDrive settings dialog (right-click the SysTray icon):



When you do this, the folders under This PC will once again point to the folders in your UserProfile folder and not OneDrive. Files must be moved manually.

Once you do this, your user folders are local and only files you explicitly place in the OneDrive folders will be synced to OneDrive.

To move OneDrive to a lower position in the Navigation Pane, set the value of the DWORD value SortOrderIndex under the registry key:

to a value like 88. (create the value if it doesn't exist)

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the File Explorer may be caused by some configuration or files mismatched. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you reset the folder settings from the
Folder Options. This will reboot the folder’s preferences to its default state and remove any possible software conflict. To do this, you may follow these steps:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View.
• Under the Folder views section, click Reset Folders, and then select
  Yes to confirm.
• Once you’re done, click OK, and then check if the issue persists.

Note: This process will remove the list of files that you recently opened.

Can Win Explorer show: A) folders alpha order B) Files by date order?

NO. This 100% fails to not solve my problem.

1. It fails to put the directories into alphabetic older. [This is deeply irritating if you have lots of folders visible]

2. I understand that "Date" refers to the date that the files were created. But that is NOT what I want. I want to see the files listed in the order in which I last accessed or last modified them.

Any suggestions?
