File explorer folder only viewable in taskbar

HelloFor some reason when trying to open my files folders it only is viewable in the taskbar and not actually able to view and open the individual folders. I can see all the folders on the taskbar but not actually able to open and view the individual folders. I try clicking on move and not able to move because folder list drops back down into the taskbar.Have restarted the computer twice. How can I have access to the various folders again.

    :)

File Explorer in Win 10 taskbar not showing Recent folders

When I right-click Word or Excel in my Windows 10 taskbar, a list of recent folders appears. But when I right-click File Explorer, only Pinned and Frequent folders appear. Neither of these is as useful to me as the Recent folders. Any suggestions on how
I can get Recent folders to appear?

    Thank you.

File explorer icon from taskbar dissappears while working on it

    Hi,

To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.

If you need further assistance, feel free to reply to this post.

Sort File Explorer Folders on Taskbar

Is it possible to sort the file explorer folders on the taskbar ? On my PC, when I have 5 or more folders, they appear in a vertical list (see attached). Every time I restart windows I run a batch file that opens my "standard file explorer folders" minimized to the Taskbar. So I can easily switch to the desired folder. As I use the PC, sometimes the folders become unsorted. Thanks
