    Hi,I have a user that is experiencing strange issue with file explorer... Quite often during the day, her file explorer freezes.. or doesn't work properly when browsing through the folders, the path does not change. Closing / re-opening file explorer helps...Now, the user has received a new laptop just 3 weeks ago and is still experiencing the same/very similar issues. What could be wrong there? What can I check/fix to resolve this issue? I've ran "sfc /scannow" which completed with no issues found. User's Windows is regularly updatedThanks.

    I have a user that is experiencing strange issue with file explorer... Quite often during the day, her file explorer freezes.. or doesn't work properly (when browsing through the folders, the path does not change). Closing / re-opening file explorer helps...

    Now, the user has received a new laptop just 3 weeks ago and is still experiencing the same/very similar issues. What could be wrong there? What can I check/fix to resolve this issue?

    I've ran "sfc /scannow" which completed with no issues found. User's Windows is regularly updated

    Provide the answers to the following for us to be able to learn more about the issue you're experiencing with your File Explorer:

    • Is your Windows 10 up-to-date?
    • Are your drivers updated? If not yet, you can follow the steps found on this
      link       on how to update your drivers in Windows 10.
    • What are the changes made or the things you've done before your File Explorer freezes randomly?

    I understand how annoying it can be to see the file explorer crash.

    I see you have already run SFC. There are a few other things you can try.

    1). Sometimes, you just need to restart File Explorer to get it back to its normal state. Follow these steps:

    >>On your keyboard, press Ctrl, Shift and Esc at the same time to open Task Manager.

    >>Under the Processes tab, select Windows Explorer and click Restart.

    2). Run DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files. Refer to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/...

    3). If nothing works, you can perform a clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t...
