Windows 10: File explorer icons show proper thumbnails except this one......

....Trimble Sketchup .skp All I get is an icon.Adobe, autoCAD, photos all have thumbnails.

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (20.006.20034)

The issue that you’ve encountered regarding the settings to view the thumbnails on the
File Explorer of your Windows 10 computer may be caused by some configuration or programs that prevent Windows from working properly. To sort out your concern, we suggest that you manage the
File Explorer settings and select the Always show icons, never thumbnails option. To do this, you may follow the step below:

• Click Start, type File Explorer, and then press
  Enter.
• On the File Explorer window, click the View tab > Options > Change folder and search options > View
  tab.
• Under the Advanced settings section, select the Always show icons, never thumbnails option.

File Explorer will only show icons on some photos, and thumbnails on others.

In certain folders, some photos will only show as icons, when I'd like all of them to show as thumbnails. I have tried all the standard stuff; deselecting "always show icons, never thumbnails" in File Explorer, clearing thumbnails from C drive, etc. My job is very difficult to do when I can't see all the thumbnails at once. Moreover, when I edit a photo, it will completely erase itself from the list, yet I can still navigate to it when I open another photo and use the arrow keys. Please help!
