Windows 10: file explorer in different language

In file explorer the icon of the folder in the upper left is not in English. It is in the language of the other user on the computer. I have redownloaded the English language pack,but it does not change the icon file language. Everything else is in English. How do I fix this? A search on internet revealed a user who claimed to edit the registry to fix the file explorer icon language.

• When I test if the language stays after switching between programs - I switch to a different program, then switch the language, then switch to the previous program.

The steps you suggested didn't work, as I don't want to remove any of the languages.

I suggest you to uninstall French language pack and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps to add

• 
  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Select French Language and click on the
  Option, adjacent to French language.
  
• 
  Click on Remove.

Using original Win 7 Key with different installation language

Good and bad news!!!

The good: i've found the language packs (unsure if the English one is the same as the one in Windows Updates, but i think so). There are many other languages for both x86 and x64 systems.

The bad: it's not in CAB file so i can't add it to the Windows 7 Installation.
