Windows 10: File Explorer in Windows 11 sort order doesn't make any sense.

Discus and support File Explorer in Windows 11 sort order doesn't make any sense. in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; This folder contains folders name as 2 digit hex values. 00 .... ffYou would expect sorting by name would order these folders00 01 02 ... 0f 10 11 12...     File Explorer in Windows 11 sort order doesn't make any sense.


    This folder contains folders name as 2 digit hex values. 00 .... ffYou would expect sorting by name would order these folders00 01 02 ... 0f 10 11 12 ... 1f 20 21 22 ... 2f and so onBut Win 11 file explorer is sorting these as00 0a 0b ... 0f 01 1a 1b ... 1f02 2a 2b ... 2fand so on. Which makes no sense at all.Sort by Name Ascending is selectedGroup by is None

    Sorting with File Explorer.

    I tried the method that was complicated (3rd option) but fell over in second step as I could not find any "apply to folder button"'.

    However, the simple put *.* in search bar, then sort results windows by date does the trick. It is slightly cumbersome as I have to do that each time I am selecting files (to upload to sharepoint) but a lot less hassle than I was having to scroll up and down between sorted file block and sorted folder block.

    Question regarding sort order for File Explorer in Windows 10: The sort order changes with updates at times. My sort order preference is to show file folders alphabetically first and then files sorted either by date modified or alphabetically, depending
    on the search. What's the best way to set that as the default?
