Windows 10: File Explorer is detecting my Samsung Galaxy S20 phone, but it's not detecting any of the...

I would like to transfer my photos and videos from my Samsung Galaxy S20 to my ASUS Q547 laptop which is running Windows 10. When I connect the two devices with a USB cable, my phone's name is showing up in File Explorer under "Devices" but then when I double click on my phone's name it says, "This folder is empty" despite there being 822 MB of photos and 85.25 GB of videos on my phone. The "DCIM" I was used to seeing when I connected my previous android phone is not showing up anywhere in my attempts. I can't figure out why File Explorer is detecting my phone but not the photos and videos the

How can I see my computer files on my Galaxy S20

 

windows 10 PC does not detect Samsung Galaxy S7 Phone

My Windows 10 Dell PC is up to date with via Widows update as of 2/24/2020. I used to be able to connect my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone via USB to back up my photos, movies, and voice memos to my PC hard drive. The PC does not see the USB device at all so I
cannot save these files to my PC.

Details:

- I am using the original phone data cable and have tried all of the USB ports on the PC.

-- USB setting on the phone is MTP

- Tried all USB ports on PC

- Connected phone to another Windows 10 desktop and phone is detected in Explorer and files can be seen and transferred but voice memo files (m4a extension) are not visible

- Device Manager in Windows says all drivers are up to date

- This problem of not detecting the phone as a USB device has existed before the latest Windows update

Please help, I can no longer backup files from my Samsung phone to my PC!
