Windows 10: File Explorer isnt working

My File explorer opens but doesnt show my files or anything it keeps showing the loading icon

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

• Click the Start Menu.
• Right-click File Explorer.
• Choose Pin to taskbar.

You can perform inbuilt troubleshooter and check if it helps:

1. In the search box, type troubleshooting.

2. Click on view all and select system maintenance.

3. Click next and follow the instruction.

You may run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool which fixes the Windows corruption error if there are any. Follow the steps:

    Press Windows+X.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
    
  • 
    Type the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    and hit Enter.
