Windows 10: File Explorer: Issues loading thumbnails, loading times, and more

I'm having a bizarre problem on my Windows 10 PC.

For some reason, lots of image thumbnails won't load (particularly PNG files and AVI files), which is extremely frustrating. Sometimes it shows the file type icon, sometimes a generic file icon, and something literally nothing at all.

In addition, if I right click on an image file, and choose "Open with...", explorer freezes and I have to restart it in Task Manager.

Also, Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Associations perpetually loads for me and I can't set it.

I reset my PC about a week ago, I've tried this solution, I've done check disk and repair disk, and I can't seem to find a solution.

I use thumbnails while I work constantly, so this is a huge detriment to my productivity.

I have a problem with windows file explorer, purchased pc month ago and photo files take extremely long time to load thumbnails, how can I speed this up as I use pc mainly for phtography, thanks

 

Windows crashes while loading video thumbnails

i have deleted those video files but that videos was playing well in windows 8 and also thumbnails loaded very quickly in windows 8,there is a problem with windows 10 it takes too much time in loading thumbnails.
