Windows 10: File Explorer keeps switching 2 of my folders from List to Details. How do I stop this?

I have two folders that I have been keeping in the List view, all others are in Detail view. Just recently, first one then the other a few weeks later started defaulting to the Detail view and I have to switch them back manually every time I go to one of the folders. How do I get List view to stick for these folders again?

File Explorer displays MP3 details, NOT File Details. How to switch ?




Here is a mp3 file with just Title (Concerto Gregoriano) and Composer in its metadata.
1. In file explorer, I created a new file on my desktop and copied the mp3 file to it.
As you can see, it is listed with date, size. The folder is a general format type, not music.
Please try that.

2. To the right, mp3tag, a free utility, shows the metadata in the file.
You might find it useful to get mp3tag.
3. Rt click, Properties, Details, shows the Title as part of the metadata. (Composer is off the screen).

I suggest you make sure your mp3's do indeed contain metadata.

(Sorry the Window titles are faint- they are background, but should be clearer)

Not sure but, if you press and hold Ctrl then scroll up or down one mouse wheel notch, you'll go back and forth between List and Details view.

File Explorer List and Details buttons

I appreciate being able to customize the buttons on the file explorer toolbar.

However, I am constantly switching back and forth between the List and Details view.

Is their any way to isolate theses two buttons and place them individually on the toolbar, just like the List button on the status bar.
