  1. File explorer "More Options" menu expands above viewport

When I click the three dot toggle in the file explorer ribbon, the menu it opens expands beyond the top of the screen. This makes the options before "Properties", and "Options" inaccessible unless you reduce the window size.My version is Version 24H2 0S Build 26100.2033, and there are no available system updates.

    Expanding folders in file explorer

    Hi,

In answer to your query, yes, there's an option to change the Folder View Options of your File Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Click File tab.
    • Select Change folder and search options.
    • Click View tab.
    • Under Advanced settings, scroll down to Navigation pane.
    • Check Expand to open folder, Show all folders, and
      Show libraries.

You can also check all the options, and set it up the way you wanted.

We'll be here if you need more help.

'Open in new window' right-click menu option for File Explorer

I just submitted this suggestion on Windows Uservoice:

The idea: the right-click menu for folders in File Explorer has an option called 'Open in new window', which opens that folder in a new File Explorer window. Very useful for copying and moving things, and opening destination folders without accessing the start menu a second time.
