Windows 10: File Explorer not displaying any saved files

Hi there, I'm having some trouble with viewing files and folders in the File Explorer in Windows 11.I have some folders saved in a "uni work" folder titled "SIT102, SIT111, SIT182" etc. All these folders have files in them, but I'm unable to actually see these files. It seems all my files have somehow been deleted and I don't remember doing this, so I'm not entirely sure what has happened. Every other folder has all the contents but the folder titled "uni work".I remember my Windows key button on the keyboard wasn't working 2-3 days ago and I pasted the following commands in the Windows termin

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

File Explorer not displaying saved files

File Explorer shows the contents of C:\, however files saved to C:\ are not displayed. Programs can access them and they show in the open files dialogs but not File Explorer.

I do try not to save to C:\, but sometimes I must. For example Photoshop often tells me my disks are full when they are not (they have, typically, over 1Gb free) and I save where I can.

Windows is set to display all files and directories, nothing hidden.

 

I have added the file count column to my folder in File Explorer. However, the actual file count is not displaying.

• How did you added file count column for folders in File Explorer? What are the steps did you followed?
• When you say, "actual file count is not displaying" is this issue specific to any folder or happening with all folders?
• Have you installed any third party anti-virus on your system?

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on View from navigation pane and choose Detail pane.
