Windows 10: File Explorer not responding & SFC shown found Problems with C:|Windows|logs|cbs|CBS.log...

I found, Windows 10 installation (via Auto Update) failed due to a corrupt file. That also hang my Windows file Explorer maybe. It was not responding & it's bothering me. Than I search in Microsoft & get One answer on that issue was to use Command Prompt (Admin) and run sfc /scannow.

After it couldn't fix something I checked the log details and searched web for the file name and found DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to be the solution in that case.


Now I am going to paste my Command Prompt Displayed issues below:

For that cause my file Explorer wasn't responding or have another solution? please tell me if I need to take more step to boost my PC speed thanks.

C: drive filling up because of CBS log file

It tells what to do in the tutorial.

Go to C:\Windows\Logs|CBS, highlight each file within, rename by adding .bak to the file name, press Enter to Save. It may trigger User Account Control so be the Administrator.

Then you need to go to the Temporary file shown to delete the .cab files in it which are what is generating the huge CBS log, because Cleanup will not do this.

 

Need help reading CBS log Entrys

Here is another way to obtain your cbs log.......................

Go to File Explorer > click This PC > click open C :drive > open Windows > open Logs > open CBS > cbs log should be at the top of the list. > open it and the log is in Notepad.

 

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS Log\CBS folder is missing in W10

If I take your path as-it-is you wrote with the last CBS not being a typo, the path is incorrect sir.

The path is C:/Windows/logs and there should be a file named CBS.log there.
