Windows 10: File Explorer not updating new files in real time

I am using Windows 10 Pro and recently when trying to add new files to any give folder, the folder does not display. I have to leave the current folder and then come back to the folder to refresh the folder in a way to have the new folder show up. The same thing happens when I try to rename a folder. What setting do I need to change? Thank you!

Windows Explorer crashing due to large files

It's an .exe right? Explorer probably read its icon (to a cache) when it was a "small" file and now call the quits when it finds "such a big" file.

If you want to delete it, use the console after killing explorer, you can run the console from TaskManager (Application -> New Task -> cmd). You might want to try copy the file to a different location (copy, not cut) and see if explorer can handle it in the new location before deleting it.

 

"This file can't be previewed" problem in explorer

File Explorer resetting to Details after Anniversary Update

Let's get this sorted out. We suggest you try these troubleshooting steps:

• Start the Windows in clean boot. To do this, follow the steps
  here.
• Once in clean boot environment, change the settings again to set it back to
  List. Normally, changing the view style in the bottom right of the window and exiting File Explorer should do the trick. The next time you open File Explorer, it should default to the last view style selected.
• If the issue persist, let's run SFC scan to look for corrupted files. Here's
  how.
• Restart the computer normally.
