Windows 10: File Explorer not working at all ever since new update

I recently installed a newer version of Windows 10 onto my PC, and ever since, the File Explorer hasn't been working at all. I can't insert images, open up files, use it at all without it saying "Not responding" and crashing. I've restarted multiple times and tried tons of solutions, and no luck. Does anyone know the problem? If so, what's the fix?

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

• Click the Start Menu.
• Right-click File Explorer.
• Choose Pin to taskbar.

Windows 10 file explorer very slow (working on it...) issue

This seemed to help. Time will tell. It certainly is more helpful and practical than the suggestion to end toe Explorer task and start a new one.
