  1. File explorer, notepad, Photos - VERY SLOW

Hi!I have a modern HP Spectre i7, 16gb ram and it used to work well until few months ago.For few months already whenever I try to open simple text file with notepad or mid size jpg image with photos it takes AGES to load usually I am waiting more than a minute with appphotos, notepad, file explorer window half opened - the window is there only app name on it and nothing inside - just the window frame is there.I have just noticed that going through MS adware and unchecking options to open iCloud photos i don't have any Apple products regsitered - so why is it there? speeded things in Photo

    :)

  2. Windows 10 File Explorer is Extremely Slow to Open Photo Files

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. My computer now seems to be running slower. However, it is extremely slow to open photo files compared to when I was running Windows 7. When I click to open a JPEG file / photo file in Windows 10, File
Explorer goes into a (not responding) message. It will stay in the not resonding mode for at least 30 seconds to a minute. Then the photo will appear and File Explorer will allow for it to be deleted, moved, copied etc. This makes opening and managing photos
extremely frustrating. I have been searching the internet for a fix. There appear to be a number of suggestions and fixes out there but nothing I have tried has worked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  3. Windows 10 file explorer very slow (working on it...) issue

This seemed to help. Time will tell. It certainly is more helpful and practical than the suggestion to end toe Explorer task and start a new one.

  4. File explorer, notepad, Photos - VERY SLOW

Windows 10 File Explorer and Notepad Display Only Minimized

    Hi,

I suggest you to open file explorer or notepad and maximize the screen before closing.

Next time when you open file explorer or notepad it will open maximized or full screen.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
