Windows 10: File Explorer now opens full screen on Save without controls

Win 10 20H2 current build. I've used Internet Download Manager IDM as a primary downloader for 10 years. For a few weeks now, I think since last month's Win 10 update, when I go in IDM to browse for the place to save a PDF, File Explorer opens full screen and without controls to adjust it. Up to then

File explorer will not open on windows 10

In this case, it's possible that the File Explorer is set to open an incorrect/corrupted file location. To rule out folder path related issues, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Type Control Panel in the search box. From the search result, click
  Control Panel.
• Select Small icons from the View by: drop-down list located on the top right side of the window.
• Select File Explorer Options.
• Under the General tab, select This
  PC from the Open File Explorer to: drop-down list.
• Click OK.

Once you're done, open File Explorer again and check if the issue persists.

I understand that you would like to have a collapsed view of the items on the navigation pane of the File Explorer while saving a file. To do this, I would suggest you to try the steps listed below and see if it works.

• Open File Explorer
  and click on the View tab.
  
• Click on the drop down next to
  Navigation Pane and uncheck Show all folders.
  
• Exit File Explorer
  and try saving a file now.

Internet Explorer saves script as text

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if helps.

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Open the web site which you want to save.
• Click on gear icon at the top right corner.
• Select File and click on save as.
• Select the option Webpage, HTML only (*.html,*html) under Save as type and check if it helps.
