  1. File Explorer randomly hangs indefinitely when phone is connected and launched from This PC

So I have to connect my phone through USB to use internet (I have a faulty WiFi radio), but the problem is when I want to find stuffs in one of my disk volumes.

Each time I access This PC in File Explorer, it will randomly freeze indefinitely until I disconnect the phone.

Is this has anything to do with the MTP support in Windows 10?

    File explorer hangs

Sorry I got nothing more to suggest then.

File explorer hanging is an image issue. So if you can't do a repair upgrade or reset your PC then you can contact microsoft support directly to see if they have further steps but I am sure they are going to tell the same thing i did.

  3. Can't launch file explorer following update to Windows 10

I started with the steps recommended by Kapil Arya. Part way through I switched to your suggestions and the File Explorer launched following a reboot following step3.
