Windows 10: File Explorer somehow changed to all hyperlinks

Discus and support File Explorer somehow changed to all hyperlinks in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; I have no idea how it changed, but I want it back to normal where I have to double click to open a file.     File Explorer somehow changed to all hyperlinks


    I have no idea how it changed, but I want it back to normal where I have to double click to open a file. Everything is now a hyperlink and I use a wireless keyboard with a touchpad rather than a separate mouse and I am constantly opening files by mistake. Even files I place on the desktop are all hyperlinks. It is maddening...

    Hyperlinks not working outlook 2007 with windows 10

    Upgraded to Win 10 - all appeared fine. Running Outlook 2007. Hyperlinks opened using (default? Edge). Changed Default Browser from Edge to Explorer 11. Hyperlinks no longer operable in Outlook. Changed back to Edge, hyperlinks opened. Changed Def Browser
    to Chrome - hyperlinks opened correctly with Chrome. Changed Def Browser back to Exp 11 - App not found. Changed Def Browser to Edge - hyperlinks open with Edge. Appears you may have issues registering Explorer 11?????

    Hope this helps with any analysis - I can reproduce at will. Just don't want Edge as Def Browser...

    File Explorer has gone crazy after last nights upgrade.

    My only has icons instead of full descriptions. I can not get back to a point where I have tabs that actually say something. Please tell me how to get my view repaired? help... Help.... HELP!!!
