Windows 10: File Explorer: Sort Images by Pixel Count not dimensions

I'm aware that file explorer has an option to sort by dimensions, but this is not quite what I want as sorting by dimensions sorts first by width, and then by height, meaning e.g. a 500x1000 photo has a lower rank than a 600x200 photo, even though the 500x1000 photo has more pixels. I'm wondering if there's a way to sort by total pixel count, i.e. length times width. Thanks!

Explorer\Add Columns\Custom\Dimensions in inches, not pixels?

In Windows Explorer's ribbon, if I choose "Add Columns\Dimensions" image dimensions are always shown in pixels. Is there a way to change that default to inches? For example, when I open an image in Photoshop and select Image\Image Size, Photoshop's Image Size dialog shows image dimensions in both pixels (1157x1337) AND inches (3.857x4.457). And, Photoshop's Image Size dialog even lets me click a down arrow and display image dimensions in inches. But Windows Explorer's Dimensions column (Ribbon\View tab\Current view\Add columns) still insists on only showing image size in pixels. (Win 10 Ver 21H2)

Dalchina, I think you're explaining this correctly. Image dimensions in pixels are absolute, but image dimensions in inches can be a complicated calculation because pixels per inch varies depending on display resolution and also screen image magnification. Even if Windows is aware of the display's resolution, it's probably deemed not necessary to make Windows Explorer look up the display's specs and run that calculation. Thanks for pointing that out.
