    File Explorer Suddenly Doesn't Work

Today, I updated my Windows 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5040442 and 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 KB5039895. After that, somehow, I cannot access my files/folders in File Explorer. I tried almost every possible solution to this issue by clearing up the history, sfc, DISM, and so on until creating new local accounts, but it didn't work. The thing is, I can open the File Explorer window, but once it opens, I can't select or explore the file. If let's say, I click on Documents

    :)

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    Thanks again!!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I ran SeaTools. These are the results:

Does it mean my HDD is useless?

    Hi Graham,

Thank you for posting your reply.

I suggest you to run the 'Internet Explorer Performance' troubleshooter by following the steps below:

    • Type 'Troubleshooting' in the search box and press Enter.
    • Click on View All on the top left pane.
    • Click on Internet Explorer Performance and follow the on screen prompts for troubleshooting.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    File Explorer Suddenly Doesn't Work

internet explorer doesn´t load any page

I tryed all 3 methods but got no success.

The funny thing is that IE is working fine on a new created test account (like method 3 suggests) but after this I switch back to my account and confirm IE is useless.

In sum IE not working on my account which is the admin one, but it is working on other accounts I create.

    Doesn´t make sense to me...
