Windows 10: File Explorer update created a crazy mess

Hello !Recently, probably less than a week ago, Windows updated itself Win 11 Family - 10.0.22621 Build 22621 and completely changed the way the file explorer is displayed. Now, instead of finding my previously pinned files and folders, I'm presented with a "Home" page that only shows recent files.No longer able to find all my "Quick Access" folders, I try to find this Quick Access...A "Favorites" section is probably supposed to replace this feature ? but why not simply transfer the pinned files?Besides, no matter how many folders I pin to Quick Access, the section can't be found. How to

• Were there any changes on your PC before this happened like software or updates installed?

For initial troubleshooting, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Access this link
  
  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
• Delete all the files.
• After deleting the files kindly try and see if there's a thumbnail preview of your files.

File Explorer freezes when hovering the cursor over the "create" section.

• Are you getting any error messages after File Explorer freezes?
• What troubleshooting have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest you restart Windows Explorer by following the steps below:

• Type Task Manager in search bar.
• Click Task Manager.
• On the pop-up window, under Windows processes, scroll-down to
  Windows Explorer.
• Right-click Windows Explorer, and click Restart.
