Windows 10: File Explorer version 10.0.18362.449 has serious design flaws. Is anyone working on a FIX?

1) You can't Customize/Optimize folder types below the 5th subfolder They immediately revert to "General items"

2) You can't modify a Search without clicking the Pointer focus TWICE to get it back to the Search box. Previously, the Pointer stayed in the box and you could modify the Search without moving the Mouse. AND you used to get the new Search result without having to hit Enter.

3) Occasionally the Search box becomes completely UNCLICKABLE. You have to REBOOT to be able to Search again!

4) Probably more issues, but I find this new version so unusable, I haven't found them yet.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

 

Core i7 920 D0 Retailer?

4 pages of C-0 errata, 26 are listed as "Plan Fix." No mention at all of D-0 stepping so "Plan Fix" could mean they will be addressed in D-0. Some of the "Plan Fix" errata are pretty serious involving suspended state and several VM fixes.
