File explorer very slow or crashes

I have seen this question asked multiple times and have tried all the ways listed to resolve the issue including an update to Windows 11 and even alternatives to file explorer, but all attempts have failed and the alternative programs have the same issue of very slow to open any files to the point of crashing often. It is painful to work from any saved files for Word, Excel, or any other Microsoft product. I tried to troubleshoot through my Microsoft account, but due to a change in email address, I cannot access my account. How can I resolve this issue? Note, clearing the cache does nothin

    :)

Effective Way to Solve the File Explorer Crashes Issue

You can try the following steps:

    1. Tap down the Windows button first to activate the search bar.
    2. After that, in the search bar type control, and then click on the top-most search result, that is on Control Panel.
    3. Next, in the search bar type file.
    4. Now, from the search results click on File Explorer Options.
