file explorer win 11 win 10 , just copy and paste and no space in destination?!

trying to copy 13 files from my MUSIC folder to usb tumb-drive MUSIC foldertumb-drive is 120GB MUSIC folder uses 100GB 13 use about 50MBI do not know where my new 13 files are located in different paths underneath the MUSIC folder. Now I do c:\MUSIC copy and then I do paste to e:\ tumb-drive Microsoft thinks for a while and tell me I do not have enough space to fit these files there I do 50MB is less that 20GBSo my only solution is to delete the the e:\MUSIC and then wait 3h for the whole path to be copied Stupid!! Stupid!! PS I know I can use Linux and WLS , PowerShell, copy etc etc...

    :)

  2. Copy and paste stops working in Win 10

    Hi.

When using cut/copy/paste and drag and drop in Windows File Explorer (Win 10), this occasionally stops working. The paste option is greyed out and I need to open a new Explorer window to reactive the copy/paste functionality.

Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it?

    Thanks.

Copying files from HDD to SSD - not enough space error

My PC has a 500GB SSD for the OS and a 1TB HDD for data (both NTFS). The 1TB HDD has about 750GB of files on it. I've just successfully upgraded to a 1TB SSD (quick formatted as NTFS and showing in Win Explorer as having 1TB free) and I want to copy all
the files from the 1TB HDD to the 1TB SSD. I've tried a straight copy/paste in Win Explorer, but it refuses, saying there's not enough space on the destination drive. This confuses me, as it's only at three quarters capacity. How do I copy the files?
