Windows 10: File Explorer Windows 10 - How do you stop it from opening at startup

All of the internet tells everybody to go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

which is wrong they need to go to

Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-896562294-4234900943-864648446-1001\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

RegEdit with administrator and look at ab load and make sure it is blank if not just clear it. then restart PC. Hope this helps

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

That's not Windows 10. Mine opens that stupid window at the startup, and checking the startup folder, there is NO item there saying Files Explorer. That was no help at all.

I would suggest you to open the task manager and disable the file explorer from there. Follow the below steps:

1. Open the Task Manager.

2. Go to startup tab.

3. See if Files Explorer is listed there. If yes, right click and
disable it.

Now check for the issue.
